In 1967 The San Bruno Association was established by Serresi living in Toronto for all Serresi and their families who had immigrated to Canada so that they may continue with the traditions and honouring of their patron saint San Bruno. 
 
Since the establishment of the San Bruno Association, it has brought the Serresi community together on many occasions through various events. As a result, we the children of our immigrant parents grew up knowing the patron saint, the traditions and customs and are grateful to our parents for being a part of this community.
 
 As President of the San Bruno Association along with the efforts and support of our members we are ready for a new generation to take on the responsibility of continuing to keep the Serresi community active. I am thankful for this opportunity so together we can build upon our parent’s traditions and customs at the same time bring forth new and innovative networking, business and entrepreneurial ideas for our new generation. The goal is to establish a stronger community whereby we can network and share our success and expertise with each other. Having said that, we look forward to bridging the gap and establishing relationships with the towns surrounding Serra San Bruno, where united we can be stronger.
 
I would like to acknowledge and say thank you to any former associates that have dedicated their time in the association, especially the previous President, Angelo Vinci whose work and passion will not be forgotten. I am excited for what the future holds. I thank each and every one of you for your love, support and efforts in working together in moving forward.

L’Associazione San Bruno e’ stata fondata nel 1967 da alcuni serresi residenti a Toronto per tutte quelle famiglie di Serra San Bruno emigrate in Canada con l’obiettivo di mantenere vive  le proprie tradizioni e la loro devozione verso San Bruno.

 

Attraverso l’organizzazione di varie attività ed eventi, l’Associazione San Bruno ha creato una comunità. Noi, figli della generazione che l’ha vista nascere, siamo cresciuti naturalmente conoscendo quella fede e quelle tradizioni di cui siamo veramente orgogliosi.

 

Come Presidente dell’Associazione San Bruno sono pronta, con l’aiuto ed il supporto di tutti i suoi iscritti di nuova generazione, ad assumermi la responsabilità di continuare a mantenere attiva la comunità dei serresi.

 

Sono grata per questa possibilità ed auspico a continuare a tramandare, insieme a voi e sulle orme dei nostri genitori, le nostre più vive e sane tradizioni. Mi auguro, allo stesso tempo, di costruire per le giovani generazioni un nuovo e più innovativo modo di stare insieme, conoscendoci vicendevolmente anche nel mondo degli affari. Il nostro obbiettivo e’ quello di stabilire un forte senso di comunità per poter interagire nel mondo degli affari condividendo il successo e le proprie esperienze.

 

Abbiamo la speranza di poter colmare quel vuoto generazionale e stabilire relazioni con tutti quei paesi che circondano Serra San Bruno: insieme possiamo essere più forti.

 

Desidero ringraziare tutti i membri che hanno dedicato tutto il loro tempo alla nostra associazione, in modo particolare il mio predecessore Angelo Vinci il cui lavoro e la passione non saranno dimenticati.

 

Sono molto entusiasta per quello che il futuro ci riserva e ringrazio ognuno di voi per l’affetto e lo sforzo nel lavorare insieme verso il futuro.
